Three Minute Summary Video:

Post on your blog. This is a short summary of your work that we will use for collective feedback sessions in the final 2 weeks of term these can be very simple – just a series of images with your voice over the top is perfect, we are not looking at your video editing ability — example of a simple video – you could use the virtual studio zoom, start recording to your computer, share your screen and record yourself for 3 minutes.


A quick & dirty look into the work that's kept me sane throughout the recent months.

Blog Curation:

Create a ‘Unit 2 Assessment’ page on your blog. Copy and paste the Unit 2 Learning Outcomes and add a few links and short notes to show how you have met these learning outcomes. This makes it easier for us to find the evidence but more importantly it is a great exercise for you to do, looking back at what you have done and noticing the connections and ideas in your art making and research.


Learning Outcome 1:

Develop and realise a self-directed programme of learning which draws from wide-ranging subject knowledge. (AC Knowledge, AC Process).


The growing men's network which promotes toxic or harmful behaviors.


A look at the work of the African American artist Romare Bearden. Known for his vibrant collages, Bearden's work explores African American life, history, and culture.


One of my favourite photographers famed for dressing as prominent figures, sometimes blurring gender roles in order to respond to themes around identity, history, and culture.


This artifact is associated with the great Rebellion of 1760 in Jamaica and is believed to have connections to African resistance against slavery in the Caribbean.


Notes on the sacred carving found in a ceremonial cave in Cuba thought by locals to represent Boinayel the "bringer of rains".


Thoughts on the exhibition The Taínos and Kalinagos of the Caribbean at the Musée Du Quai Branly Jacques Chirac, Paris.


Are museums ready to admit their shady practices?
